The Lagos State Police Command has described reports on arrest of a popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly called DJ Switch, as a mixed up from the command, apologizing over the misrepresentation.
It said that Iwuagwu Ebere Pat popularly known as DJ Commissioner Wysei was the person arrested and not DJ Switch as it had earlier confirmed.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made the apology through his social media handle on Thursday.
He apologised to the media outlets he personally sent the misinformation to and the affect victim, DJ Switch.
Hundeyin wrote, “There is a mixup from our end. The arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch.
“Apologies for all the inconveniences to a few media outfits like Linda Ikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning.
“Apologies to DJ Switch too.”
