Determined to strengthen security across the country, especially around public facilities, President Bola Tinubu has summoned the Service Chiefs to a crucial meeting to discuss the protection of lives and property across the country.
The meeting convened under the National Security Council aimed to discuss the explosions around the trans-Niger pipeline and others in Rivers State.
As gathered, the meeting on Tuesday was summoned by the President after news of the attack on the oil facility filtered in with the suspected militants threatening to set ablaze many others in the state.
Sources in the State House disclosed to The Guild on Tuesday that the meeting lasted for several minutes with each of the senior military officers reeling out intelligence gathered before and after the explosions in the state.
