The Nigerian Army troops of Operation Desert Sanity III, Operation Hadin Kai, have neutralized no fewer than six Boko Haram terrorists during clashes inside their enclave in Lawanti, Sambisa Forest.
It was gathered that the troops in collaboration with a hybrid force and elements of Civilian Joint Task Force, successfully overran the terrorists’ in stronghold after engaging the terrorists in a battle that lasted for several minutes yesterday.
A security expert, Zagazola Makama, narrated that insurgents fell under the overwhelming superior firepower of the troops, on their withdrawal route, while trying to ambush the troops.
The troops recovered some weapons belonging to the terrorists that died and those that fled after they realized that the military strength was not a march for them.
