A popular Disc Jockey (DJ), Iwuagwu Ebere popularly called DJ Commissioner Wysei, has been arrested by the policemen attached to the Lagos Command for allegedly assaulting a female officer in Lekki axis of the state.
As gathered, DJ Commissioner Wysei would be arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Eti+Osa Local Government.
It was learnt that she would be arraigned on Thursday by the police im accordance with the law.
Sources said that DJ Commissioner Wysei visited the police in Elemoro, Ajah axis on Monday, to complain about a man who allegedly defrauded her and the man was later apprehended as well as interrogated and detained.
As stipulated by law, the police, two days after allegedly contacted DJ Commissioner Wysei, to get her consent either to arraign the suspect or set him free on bail.
As learnt, the popular activist insisted that the only thing she wanted was for the accused to tender an apology publicly and disseminated,
After listening to her, the accused turndown the suggestion, a development which made the police opted for the court to settle the issue, as dictated by law since both parties were not bulging.
Eyewitnesses narrated that while the officers were about to drive out with the accused to court, DJ Commissioner Wysei allegedly used her vehicle to block the entrance of the station and assaulted the female officers attached to the case.
She was then arrested for obstructing police while on duty, resisting arrest as well as assaulting police officers. The accused was also taken to court and was remanded in prison custody.
