Oilmoney counsels entrepreneurs on survival strategies after subsidy removal

Amid the closure and relocation of firms outside Nigeria over unfavourable economic environment, Rivers State-born label owner and businessman, Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo, popularly called Oil Money, has outlined survival and growth strategies for businesses and organisations under the current harsh economic environment.

Oilmoney said that the current harsh economy required entrepreneurs especially young business owners not to be static as they grow in business but rather be dynamic.

The young entrepreneur noted that every business owner irrespective of age and gender must hold tenaciously to ideologies of transitioning at every stage of their life and businesses.

While harping on transition, Oilmoney explained that entrepreneurs must not evaluate all ideas to embrace the benefits they have to aid their business growth.

He gave the advice yesterday through a statement released by his media aide, in which he reeled out efforts made to ensure his business brands succeed.

The 43-year-old entrepreneur explained that irrespective of any business status, it cannot control the macro-economic environment but operates within it, saying it is one thing that every entrepreneur must understand better.

According to him, “Everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it”.

Oilmoney stressed that as an entrepreneur, the business owner should “be willing to transition at every stage of your life. If your heart is open and you have an open mind, the blessing will flow.”

“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. Change is inevitable in life. You can either resist it and potentially get run over by it, or you cooperate with it, adapt to it, and learn how to benefit from it. When you embrace change you will begin to see it as an opportunity for growth.”

“A lot of people resist transition and therefore never allow themselves to enjoy who they are. Embrace the change, no matter when it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you’re in and take advantage of it.”
