The Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency has provided solar systems for its 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas to enhance their security and intelligence gathering operations across communities in the state.
The solar systems were installed to ensure 24 hours of interrupted power supply to mitigate the incessant power outages experienced mainly due to the activities of vandals across the country.
The inauguration of the power systems, coincided with the distribution of more working tools including binoculars with night vision capabilities, Flashlights, Intelligence Pen Recorders, and Megaphones to enhance their Community engagement programmes.
In a short speech at the inauguration, the General Manager of the Agency, Dr Ifalade Oyekan, warned the Officers to ensure all government properties under their watch is well managed and cared for.
He said, “Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in fulfilment of his promise as enshrined in the THEMES Plus Agenda has shown unalloyed commitment to the safety and security of residents and visitors to Lagos by investing heavily in this Agency and all others. Your job is to deliver world class services to the people and maintain the gadgets purchased for your use with tax payers money. “
