Following fuel scarcity being experienced by motorists in Lagos and other parts of the country, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has blamed the shortage on logistics challenges.
NNPC added that the issues have been resolved and motorists would begin to have seamless access to fuel at stations across the country.
In a statement released on Thursday by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, NNPC stressed that there was no plan to adjust the pump price of the products.
According to the statement, “The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) wishes to clarify that the tightness in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit currently being experienced in some areas across the country is as a result of logistics issues and that they have been resolved.
“It also wishes to reiterate that the prices of petroleum products are not changing.
“It urges Nigerians to avoid panic buying as there is a sufficiency of products in the country”.
