The multi-million Naira Dangote refinery has been reported to have been gutted by fire in Lekki axis of Lagos State.
As gathered, the fire was said to have emanated at about 2 pm from a section inside the refinery, causing pandemonium among workers.amd residents of the community.
Reacting to the incident on Wednesday, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, disclosed to newsmen the fire has been contained and there is no cause for alarm.
According to him: “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, 26th of June.
“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating normally, and there are no recorded injuries or bodily harm to any of our staff on duty.”
