JUST IN: Barcelona sacks Xavi over poor performance

The Spanish football giant, Barcelona, has terminated the employment of its manager and former player, Xavi Hernández, over inability to lead the team to glory.

Xavi’s sack came barely two weeks after the Barcelona management informed the football tactician of the plan to continue with him as head coach for next season.

On Friday, The club’s president, Joan Laporta, informed Xavi of the management decision during a face to face meeting.

Inspite of the sack, the manager would be allowed to complete the season with the team as they prepare to face Sevilla for their last league match on Sunday.

Following the termination of employment, The Guild gathered that the club has received a verbal agreement from Germany and Bayern Munich former manager, Hansi Flicks, to lead the team next season.

The German has been offered a one-year strategic contract that would only be renewed based on his performance with the team.
