Zimbabwean court jails two Brits 9yrs for drug trafficking

A  Zimbabwean court has sentenced two Brits, Tihaise Elisha, and Taylor Simeone, to prison for contravening the country’s laws through drug trafficking and illicit deals.

 
During their trial, Elisha, and Simeone, both 19 and 21 years respectively, were found guilty of the offences and sentenced to nine years jail terms each following their at the country’s border.

The prosecution held that the duo journeyed from Thailand to the Robert Mugabe Airport looking suspicious, hence, leading to a search of their lugagges.

 
The Zimbabwe authorities disclosed that during the search, both convicts were caught with 66kg of cannabis which they hid in their suitcases.
 

The southern African country had cautioned immigrants and its citizens to desist from engaging in criminal activities, saying sanctions await erring individuals.
