The Federal Government has approved the appointment of an Urban and Regional Planning Don, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, as the new Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State.
Ahmed, who was the varsity’s former Director of the Directorate of University Advancement, will succeed Prof. Kabiru Bala as the university’s Vice-Chancellor.
The appointment was officially announced on Wednesday by the university’s Public Affairs Directorate following the 209th special meeting of the Governing Council, chaired by Yayale Ahmed.
The new VC was former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at the Federal University of Education, Kano.
