Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Thomas Frank from managerial duties following a 2-1 home loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Spurs management bemoaned the club’s current 16th position in the league, five points above the relegation zone, bringing to an end, Frank’s time at the club, after less than eight month in charge, after replacing Ange Postecologlu in June 2025.
The club’s hierarchy was said to have termed the Danish coach’s position as untenable having led the club to a disappointing two wins in their last 17 games, which led the club’s fans calling for an end of the 52-year-old’s spell at the London based side.
His exit, after ganerring 13 wins in 38 games records a 26.8 winning ratio, the worst of any manager in the premier league. His 18.2 home win ratio is also the worst of any manager at the club since 2008.
The Lilywhites are now searching for a permanent manager who would be their sixth in seven years since Mauricio Pochetino left in 2019.
Tottenham, who are out of both domestic competitions, but still in the Champions League, are next in action against table toppers, Arsenal, at home, on February 22.
