Teachers, students jittery as Sanwo-Olu pays unscheduled visit

Teachers and students of Oregun Junior High School, Ikeja were on Friday jittery when Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, paid an unscheduled visit to the premises.

It was gathered that the teachers and students could not understand the reasons for the governor’s visit to the school.

The Guild learned that when the news of the governor’s arrival filtered in, the students, who were engaging in their daily activities, began to panic because they were not informed of the visit.

Eyewitness narrates that the governor did not visit the premises with any of the cabinet members.

Sources on the governor’s entourage disclosed that the governor visited the school while on his way to State House, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja for the day’s work.

Confirming the visit, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile, stressed that the governor’s visit to the school was unscheduled.
