Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Monday joined hundreds Chiefs and members of All Progressive Congress, APC, to mourn the Oba of Oniru, Oba Idowu Oniru, who passed on at 82.
The late monarch, whose first son was former commissioner for Waterfronts and Infrastructures, Adesegun Oniru, was said to have passed on after brief illness.

Sanwo-Olu, in a short statement on his twitter handle, commiserates with the Oniru family, stating that the State Government appreciates his service to the state.
He said: “On behalf of the government and people of Lagos, I commiserate with the Oniru Royal Family on the transition of HRH Oba Idowu Oniru who joined his forebears. His service to the state and country at large will remain his enduring legacy”.
