The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reiterated his administration’s commitment towards serving the state and her citizens in achieving the greater Lagos and the enviable status of a deserving megacity.

This is coming as he also pledged to use all within his capacity in delivering on his mandate, alongside all campaign promises made to Lagosians during the electioneering campaigns without leaving any undone.

The Governor, who gave a brief account of his stewardship, through his social media page on Friday, to mark his one year in office, disclosed that he had used all resources within his reach, including his intellect and experience to serve the state and her people.

This, he said, was in his bid to replicate the trust the people have in him by voting him into power and to ensure the dividends of democracy gets to the citizens of the state, adding that his administration will stop at nothing in delivering on all his campaign promises to the betterment of the state and her citizens.

While thanking the citizens for their support and encouragement, Sanwo-Olu said their support was a driving force that propelled him towards achieving all that has been attributed to his administration in all sectors of the state in the last one year.

“365 days ago, I began my journey as the Executive Governor of the Centre of Excellence and the 5th largest economy in Africa. Exactly one year ago, I made a solemn promise before God and all to faithfully serve the people of Lagos.

“I made a promise to Lagosians to commit my intellect, experience, and high performance work ethics to building a greater Lagos. One year after, we have used every single day and minute in the office to deliver on our mandate to serve.

“We have a long journey of growth and development ahead of us but I am proud to tell you that we have made strides in all sectors of the state from education, security, environment, healthcare, housing, infrastructure, social services, support for the private sector and MSMEs.

“I am thankful to God, the leadership of my party, and to all Lagosians for the opportunity to serve and I remain committed to the work and to sustaining this drive till we achieve the greater Lagos of our dreams,” he wrote.
