Russian airstrikes kill 10yr old boy in Ukraine

Four people, including a 10-year-old boy, have died alongside others injured following a Russian airstrike in Ukraine.

The airstrike consisting 11 ballistic missiles and 149 drones was said to have killed the minor, whose body was recovered, alongside a 71 and 35-year-old men, the former, who died in his bed, and another yet to be identified body, were said to be dead casualties in the mishap.

The attack was also said to have caused severe injuries to at least three people including a 19-year-old girl all in Odessa where the event happened early hours of Monday.

The incident also led to destruction of properties in the area. One of the drones reportedly destroyed buildings one which a 32-year-old resident, Mykhallo, lived.

Mykhallo said that his apartment windows had been blown out and his car damaged.

”First we heard the buzzing of a Shahed, and then the hit, and then another hit,” he said.

The Ukraine defence units said the occurrence would have caused more deaths had it not down over hundred drones.

Russia has bombarded its neighbouring Ukraine after its nearly four year invasion into the country. It now occupies 20 percent of the Volodmyr Zelensky led nation.
