The Kano Police Command has taken two officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) into custody for allegedly killing a 19 yrs old lady, Patient Samuel, in Jaba Quarters of the state.
The officers, identified as 23 yr old Ridwan Usman and 26 yr old Ismaila Yakubu, were reportedly attached to the NDLEA’s Kano State office.
Residents alerted the police of the incident, and officers swiftly mobilized upon receiving the alert; when they got to the scene, they found the victim and rushed her to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital. However, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Authorities recovered several items from the suspects, including their official motorcycle, a live round of ammunition, four spent shells of 7.62×51mm ammunition, and two knives.
A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, narrated that yesterday that the shooting occurred late Wednesday at approximately 10:55 p.m.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to ensure justice is served.
