Nothigham Forest sack manager over poor results

By Felix Kuyinu

Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean Dyche following the barren draw result against Wolvehampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Forest confirmed Dyche’s sacking in a statement bringing down curtains of his time at the club following 114 days in charge, adding that talks are ongoing to bring in a new gaffer as the club aims to escape relegation and fight for silverware in Europe.

”Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach,” the statement issued on Thursday reads in extracts.

”We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comments at this time,” it concluded.

The English coach leaves the team after a run of unimpressive results which has led to the side just a spot off the relegation spots including a three-game winless run which included a 3-1 loss to Leeds, and two draws against Crystal Palace and Wolves, which ultimately proved to be the last straw for Dyche.

He steered the club to a meagre six wins in 17 games after replacing Ange Postecologlu on 21st of October last year.
