Premier League side, Nottingham Forest, have appointed Scottish coach, Ange Postecoglou, as manager.
Forest appointed Postecoglou following the sacking of Nuno Espirito who stood as manager at the club for 21 months, and only three games into the ongoing season.
Postecoglou, 60, returns to management three months after being dismissed by Spurs, following a 2024/25 season filled with sweet and sour after the London club finished 17th in the Premier League and rounding up winning the Europa League.
Following the appointment of the Aussie on Tuesday, Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis, said, “We are bringing a coach to the club who has a proven and consistent record of winning trophies.
“His experience of coaching teams at the highest level, along with his desire to build something special with us at Forest, makes him a fantastic person to help us on our journey and achieve consistently all our ambitions.
“After gaining promotion to the Premier League, then building consistently season after season to secure European football, we now must take the right step to compete with the very best and challenge for trophies.
“Ange has the credentials and the track record to do this, and we are excited he is joining us on our ambitious journey.”
Postecoglou, who becomes the eight permanent manager appointed since Marinakis took charge of the English club in May 2017 will begin his tenure at the City Ground in a Premier League game against Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.
