NNPP integrates entire Benue structure with ADC

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Benue State has announced plans to merge its entire political structure into the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in what observers are calling a major political realignment ahead of upcoming elections.

The decision was disclosed by the NNPP state leader, Aliyu Tashaku, during a familiarity visit to the ADC state secretariat, where he formally communicated the party’s position.

During the meeting, Tashaku held discussions with key ADC officials, including Terngu Tsegba, Chairman of the Benue MRMR Committee, outlining plans for the full integration of NNPP members and structures into the ADC framework. Sampson Okwu, Secretary of the ADC MRMR in the state, was also present.

According to Tashaku, the decision followed extensive internal consultations within the NNPP and is aimed at strengthening political collaboration and unity in Benue State.

The formal reception and assimilation of NNPP members into the ADC is scheduled for April 8, 2026, with further details expected from the ADC media team.

Responding to the development, ADC officials welcomed the move, describing it as a step toward broader political alignment and consolidation in the state.
