Operatives of the Niger State Police Command have taken into custody Sani Bauchi, who is accused of killing his 35-year-old younger brother during an altercation in the state.
Bauchi allegedly attacked his brother, Nathaniel, with a wooden stick at their residence in Mohoro, near Dusai District, resulting in his death.
The 35-year-old man was rushed to the General Hospital in Bangi by community members but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“We received the patient in critical condition, but unfortunately, he could not be saved. His remains have been deposited at the hospital mortuary pending autopsy,” a spokesperson for the medical facility confirmed.
The Niger State Police Command stated that Bauchi is currently under investigation, and authorities are gathering more details surrounding the incident.
