A murder suspect, Sani Nathaniel, has been held by the Police over accusations of killing his sibling, Isah, during an alteration in Niger State.
The police arrested Sani, stating that he, following the boisterous clash, attacked 35-year-old Isah with a stick at their family house, leaving him heavily injured and needing immediate medical attention.
The victim who was a younger brother to the detainee was rushed to the hospital by neighbours but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Spokesperson at the General Hospital in Bangi, who wanted anonymity said, “We received the patient in critical condition, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.
“His remains have been deposited at the hospital mortuary pending autopsy.”
The police confirmed the incident which happened in Mohoro via Dusai District yesterday, stating that the suspect is currently under investigation, adding that it is gathering more details surrounding the incident.
