NAF kills dozens bandits, destroys hideouts in Katsina

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) airstrikes targeted notorious insurgents’ stronghold in Malam Aibo, situated within the Tsaskiya forest in Katsina State, killing dozens of bandits.

The airstrikes were part of a renewed efforts by the Air Force officers to tackle insecurity within the country.

Bakatsine, a security analyst based in the north, described the move on Tuesday as one that has crippled the gunmen in the state.

“GOOD NEWS: Last night, NAF airstrikes hit the Malam Aibo camp in Tsaskiya forest, Katsina State,” he wrote, praising the military for executing a precise strike against the criminal groups disturbing local communities.

Meanwhile, in another operation, police officers from the Dutsin-Ma Division successfully freed over 7 women kidnapped by armed assailants in the Wawaye community.

The swift police response reportedly disrupted the attackers’ plans, forcing them to abandon their captives.

“Well done to the Dutsin-Ma Police Division for rescuing the kidnapped women in Wawaye! Their prompt action made the bandits retreat from the community,” Bakatsine added.

Local residents have expressed support for the recent actions by security forces, calling them timely and praiseworthy.

Many hope this momentum will continue to dismantle the criminal networks operating in the region.

Katsina, along with other parts of the North-West, has faced ongoing attacks from armed groups, prompting calls for intensified counterterrorism measures.
