Motorists hopes of accessing better roads networks in Lagos State were on Saturday dashed when the Government announced postponement of ongoing road rehabilitations.
Commuters and Motorists had been nursing the hopes that the government would fulfill promises made on road rehabilitation across the state immediately when the rainfall subsides.
The state government, in a statement by Lagos Public Works Corporation, LSPWC, disclosed that the postponement was due to logistic challenges.
“Due to logistic reasons, maintenance work on Ashipa Ayobo and Lasu Iba road in Alimosho as well as Ado Badore road in Eti-Osa has been postponed till Monday however, maintenance work will go on at other locations listed out in today’s schedule”.
But since the announcement, motorists have expressed their displeasure over the decision by the government.
They urged the government to intensify efforts towards fixing the roads across the state.
