LASG fixes date for 2019 Bursary interview, conditions

In a bid to assist indigent students, Lagos State Government has fixed date for the 2019 Bursary interview and requirements for eligibility.
The date for the interview and locations, according to the Government, was designed to make the exercise easy for the applicants.
In a statement signed by the Office of the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board and made available to newsmen, yesterday, urged the applicants to turn for the interview because each division has been given their specific dates.
It said: “For the applicants in Epe, they should visit the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Epe on Thursday, December 19th and 20th between 10am and 5pm.
The statement added that same date applied to applicants from Ikorodu division who should visit Oriwu College, Ikorodu for their interview within the hours of between 10am and 5pm.
“The applicants in Lagos division should visit St. Georges Primary School, Falomo in Ikoyi while their Badagry counterparts should visit Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), Ijanikin on Monday, 23rd and Tuesday; 24th of December for the bursary interview within the hours of 10am and 5pm.
“Also, for the bursary applicants in Ikeja, they should endeavour to visit Government College, Agege on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th starting from 10am to 5pm daily”.
The statement urge every prospective applicants to ensure that their completed application forms, attached with photocopies of all documents required by the board are submitted at the interview venues.
According to the statement, the required documents are: Evidence of indigeneship from:- an Oba of your Village, Town or City; and Local Government Area/Local Council Development Area.
“Also, the applicants should endeavour to provide Current letter of Admission, Student’s Identity card, Birth certificate and Academic certificate obtained.
“The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) result slip, Lagos State Residents Registration Agency(LASRRA), identification card of the applicant
Parents or Guardian’s Tax clearance and
any other documentary evidence”.
