After a thorough review of the Red-Line rail system on communities along its route, a renowned Lagos based proprietor, Taiwo Olasunkanmi, has said that the transport facility is aiding transformation and would foster more development to Agege and its environs.
Olasunkanmi stated that the transport facility is a tool for development which Agege stakeholders must unite to utilize this benefits to their advantage.
According to him, the railway station in Agege is an avenue to establish a business hub that can foster economic growth in the area.
Olasunkanmi said that his dream for the community is to make Agege a Metropolitan city where businesses strive with peaceful coexistence.
He added that geographically, the Agege community was positioned in a way it could be developed commercially.

“We appreciate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the railway identification with the Agege which is a plus to the community as the rail stations were a business hub in the olden western region days.
“The Agege community thanks the governor for identifying with our community by building a befitting railway station that will promote businesses in the area in the near future.
“We will revive the business activities related to the railway line where exchange of goods and services will be shared among the other states in the federation.
“We all know that Agege ought to have developed more than the present stage but we have realised that our people deserve more exposure to the world through the latest infrastructural development.
The Proprietor also added that the Agege community has been a phenomenon among popular towns in the world with different tribes and nationality in the community.
Olasunkanmi said that any city or major towns identify with such railway lines have unique business development attached to them connecting other communities together for businesses.
“Agege is a gateway that leads to other developed regions, it has to channel to a better and advanced business centre,” he said.

Newsmen reports that Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday October 15, officially unveiled the LMRT Red Line for commercial operations.
The governor said that the project was the second rail system to become operational in less than two years in the state.
According to him, the 27-kilometre Red Line has eight stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Mushin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Agege, Iju, and Agbado.
The train service is projected to transport about 500,000 Lagosians daily as the schedule is increased, providing a viable means of commuting.
