Lagos police receives CP Odumosu as new commissioner

By NewsDesk,

The Lagos Police Command has received a deployment signal from Nigerian Police Force Headquarters in Abuja, confirming, CP Hakeem Odumosu, as commissioner to the state commander.

From the signal sighted by The Guild, it confirmed CP Odumosu as the Lagos Police Command’s new commissioner who would be taking over from the command’s former boss, Zubairu Muazu, who has just been promoted to Assistant Inspector General, AIG of Police.

Sources from the command disclosed that police across the state have been congratulating Odumosu, who was former Commander of the State Special security outfit, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), declaring their readiness to work with their new boss.

As the Commander, Odumosu was instrumental to the low crime rate recorded in Lagos, arresting several robbery gangs that had terrorised the state for months before his appointment.

After leaving Lagos, the former Commander was appointed as the Commissioner of Police in Edo State where he distinguished himself and attracted the attention of the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The President, understanding his tenacious passion to serve the country and understanding Lagos terrain, appointed Odumosu to lead the enforcement unit of the Task Force set up to restore sanity to Apapa.

And since the team commenced work, the Guild gathered that sanity had returned to Apapa with a geometric reduction in travel time around the country’s major ports, Apapa and Tin Can.
