Following repeated cases of fire disasters in Dosumu and other markets in Lagos Island, the State Government has placed an indefinite suspension on trading activities within the markets to prevent another inferno around the premises.
The affected markets were Dosumu, Nnamdi Azikwe, Moshalashi, Woro Pedro, Obanikoro Streets, Ago Tawa, Idumagbo Avenue, Idumagbo , Ido-Oluwo and
Oju Olobun Streets
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business District (CBD), Bola Lawal, disclosed this yesterday while reacting over the inferno that have crippled commercial activities around the district.
Lawal, in a statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs Central Business Districts, Seyi Akitoye, commiserated with the affected traders across the markets.
The CBD boss, who is keenly monitoring the incident, said the measure became necessary in order to prevent loss of life and maintain peace and order in the area
She stressed that market women and men in the area should make way for emergency respondents who have timely responded to the incident to effectively perform their duties
There is certainly a lot to learn about this subject.
I like all the points you’ve made.
Superb post however I was wanting to know if you could write a litte more
on this subject? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit further.
Cheers!
