Lagos APC re-elects Ojelabi, Oladejo, others as party exco

The Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) has re-elected Cornelius Ojelabi as Chairman, alongside Publicity Secretary Seye Oladejo and other members of the State Executive Committee, reaffirming the party’s leadership ahead of upcoming political engagements.

The state executive members were re-elected through an affirmation process conducted by accredited delegates at the state congress, reflecting internal cohesion and consensus within the Lagos APC.

Ojelabi and his colleagues were reinstated, allowing them to retain their positions during the state party congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Congress Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended Ojelabi for his leadership and praised the national party for its guidance and commitment to due process.

He highlighted that the successful organization of the congress demonstrated the APC’s strength, institutional capacity, and ability to uphold fairness, internal democracy, and organizational discipline, even during critical moments.

Sanwo-Olu noted that the unity and shared purpose displayed at the congress positioned the Lagos APC as a model of cohesion and strategic direction, reaffirming its capacity to sustain dominance in the state.

“We have shown that in Lagos, we are united and strengthened by our people’s unity, sharing a common purpose to ensure the party’s structure remains the best and second to none,” he stated.

The governor also reiterated the influence of President Bola Tinubu, describing him as a proud Lagosian and the “father of the nation,” whose leadership continues to shape both the country and the party.

In his remark, Ojelabi described the APC as more than a political platform, calling it a dynamic movement committed to progress, development, and improving the lives of Nigerians.

He emphasized that the unity and discipline shown at the congress mirrored the party’s collective vision and responsibility toward advancing good governance.

Ojelabi urged members to remain committed, highlighting the forthcoming elections as an opportunity to demonstrate the party’s unity and collective resolve.

He called on party faithful to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen mobilization efforts, and consolidate the gains already achieved, adding that the future of Nigeria depends on the APC’s ability to remain united and dedicated to sustainable development and effective governance.
