The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, has sent a message to the Nottingham Forest and Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, wishing him quick recovery after being forced to go into coma.
AbdulRazaq, who described the footballer as a brother and valued citizen, stated that the state is proud of him and wish him quick recovery.
Awoniyi suffered a serious abdominal injury on Sunday during the team’s game against Leicester City in the English Premier League.
The Nottingham Forest striker underwent an emergency surgery and has been on induced into coma since the completion of the surgery.
Reacting to the development, AbdulRazaq, who is the Governor of Awoniyi’s home State said Kwara is proud of him and wish him quick recovery.
