Italian club, Atalanta, has thrashed German league winner, Bayer Leverkusen, 3-0 at the final of the 2024 Europa League, to lift the continental trophy.
The victory for the Italian team ended it’s search for a continent trophy and ended the German team’s 51 match unbeaten streak since the season kicked off.
Atlanta’s three goals were scored by Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman, who became my the first player to score hat trick during Europa League final.
During the match played on Wednesday in Dublin, Ireland, Lookman propelled his teammates to end the German dominance in all competitions this season.
