The founder of the House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, has been detained by the Lagos Police Command for questioning over alleged possession of a gun-like object in the state.
The law enforcement agency detained Adefarasin after he turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, for questioning, following an invitation made by the police after footage of his possession of the arms went viral on various social media platforms.
The popular pastor is on police invitation due to the ongoing investigation into the case of a video that surfaced online showing the cleric holding a gun-like object against another road user, while driving in an unregistered vehicle.
The Nigeria police acting on the premise that no one is above the law vowed to leave no stone unturned to unravel facts about the gun-like object in possession of the cleric.
Confirming the development, the Lagos Police spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said that the investigation is ongoing and the pastor has reported to the state police command.
