As part of efforts to guide schools in their operation across Lagos, the State Government has released an academic calendar for both public and private schools, to prevent lapses in their resumption and vacation during the 2022-2023 session.
In the new calendar released by the government, the first term for the 2022-2023 academic session begins on Monday 5th September 2022 and vacates on Friday 16th December 2022.
Announcing the dates on Thursday, Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, enjoined all school owners to adhere strictly to the academic calendar in the state.
Seriki-Ayeni, in a statement made available to newsmen, stressed that the calendar was approved by the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the delivery of quality and sustainable education in the state.
According to the statement, schools below the tertiary level in the State will be resuming for First Term (2022/2023 academic session) on Monday 5th September 2022, and vacate on Friday 16th December 2022.
