A former Acting Accountant-General of the Federation, Chukwuyere Nwabuoku, has been sentenced to 72 years in prison after the Federal High Court in Abuja found him guilty of diverting N868 million in a high-profile fraud case.
The sentence follows his prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on multiple counts of money laundering involving public funds.
