The All Progressives Congress has fixed its states congresses for September 4, 2021, across the country to elect executives that would pilot affairs of the party in each state of the federation.
The ruling party explained that in preparation for the exercise, it has commenced sale of nomination forms for interested members vying for various positions up for election during the congress.
Through a statement on Wednesday, the National Secretary, APC Caretaker Committee,John Akpanudoedehe, said that the transparency process was ensure the congresses were free and fair across the federation.
It would be recalled that the party held its ward congresses on July 31 in most of the states in the country except in the federal capital territory (FCT), Bayelsa and Imo states. The LGA congress is another step leading up to the party’s national elective convention.
The APC had last month allayed fears been expressed by members following the Supreme Court Judgement on Ondo State governorship election, saying it was important party faithful remain calm and focus on the forthcoming nationwide congresses.
The ruling party explaining that while the outcome of the court proceeding had come as a rude shock to many, the party must remain united and plan towards staging a rancour-free nationwide congresses.
