Imo Govt to prosecute people contravening COVID-19 guidelines

Hours after 14 lawmakers tested positive to coronavirus in Imo State, the governor, Hope Uzodinma, has threatened to arrest and prosecute anyone found contravening the guidelines put in place on temporary easing of lockdown in the state.  

 
Uzodinma noted that some indigenes still do not believe in reality and existence of the coronavirus disease and that enforcement of protocols would further enlighten residents that COVID-19 exist.

While reiterating his administration’s commitment towards containment of COVID-19, Uzodinma disclosed that about 7000 health workers have been trained across the state on aggressive public enlightenment campaign to create awareness on the reality of the virus.
