English tactician, Liam Rosenoir, has disclosed that all is set for his appointment as the permanent manager of Chelsea Football Club men’s team following the sacking of Enzo Maresca.
Rosenoir, stated that his briefing with the hierarchy at the club held yesterday ended positively and that he is looking forward to the actualization of becoming the gaffer of the London club, which according to him could be confirmed in a few hours.
The 41-year-old, after the meeting the Chelsea board headed back to Strasbourg FC where he currently manages and held a press conference which appeared like he was bidding the club goodbye, saying, ”I cannot turn down this opportunity to join an incredible squad who are Club World Cup champions.
”I haven’t signed yet. Everything is agreed and it will probably go through in the next few hours.
”I’m here because I care about this club and I felt it was right to answer your questions physically here today before I move on,” he continued.
”The last 18 months have been a joy and the best of my professional career and I will love this club [Strasbourg] but I cannot turn down Chelsea.”
Rosenoir continued, saying, ” It means I can go home and see my kids. I’ve missed them. There are so many reasons for going to Chelsea. I don’t think anyone can question how I have worked for the club, my integrity in the way I have worked for Strasbourg. I don’t think anyone can question my decision to move on with my career.”
According to the reports, the Englishman is in line to take reins at the club for their League Cup first leg fixture against Arsenal on January 14 at Stamford Bridge.
