No fewer than 20 have been reported to have been women were abducted by armed bandits on Monday evening after the bandits blocked the Tafoki road in Katsina State.
The women were fleeing their homes in search of safety when they were attacked by the gunmen who abducted them in the state.
An eyewitness said the women, fearing an imminent attack on their community, had set out to escape but were intercepted by the bandits.
