Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has approved the appointment of Dagogo Wokoma as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Sunny Ewule as his Chief of Staff (CoS).
The appointments fill the leadership vacuum created by the exit of former Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie, and former SSG, Benibo Anabraba, following the recent dissolution of the state cabinet.
The development was announced in a press statement issued to journalists on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi.
According to the statement: “The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Dr. Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff (CoS). Both appointments take immediate effect.
“The new appointees will be sworn in at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, February 26, 2026. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Executive Council (Exco) Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt.”
