No fewer than four passengers were reported to have escaped death when a 40-feet containerized truck fell on a vehicle at Abalti Barracks in Surulere Local Government, Lagos State.
The four occupants of the vehicle with number plate KRD-822FX were said to be two males and two females that were rescued after being trapped.
As gathered, the containerised truck fell sideway along Abalti barracks inward Stadium axis of the council on Sunday at about 6:35p.m after developing mechanical fault on the road.
Speaking on the rescue operations, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Director-General Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said that the trapped passengers were extricated from the vehicle.
According to him, upon arrival of emergency officials at the scene of the incident, a 40ft containerized truck fell sideways on a grey Toyota car.
The emergency expert disclosed that after the rescue, the containerised truck and other activities that could further cause impediment for commuters have been removed from the road.
