The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Nancy Nathan as the acting Head of Service for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Nathan’s appointment comes following the passing of Grace Adayilo, who served as the FCTA Head of Service until her death last Monday.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister.
Nathan is to assume duties immediately in an acting capacity to fill the leadership gap left by Adayilo’s passing.
According to the FCTA, the decision was taken to ensure continuity in leadership and to maintain effective coordination of the FCT civil service.
Prior to her appointment, Nathan served as the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat within the FCTA.
She also previously held the position of Director of Finance and Administration in the Office of the FCT Minister.
Her appointment makes her the second woman to hold the position since the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission in October 2023.
