A former employee of the Ayete Microfinance Bank Limited, Oyo State, Sunday Fadayomi, who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was on Friday sentenced to six years imprisonment without an option of fine.
Fadayomi was sentenced for stealing a sum of N11,000,000 from the bank’s vault while working there.
The presiding Justice, Mohammed Owolabi, of the Oyo State High Court pronounced Fadayomi guilty in all the 30 counts of a criminal charge filed against him by the EFCC, Ibadan zonal office.
The convict is an information system expert in charge of the bank’s information technology section, the position he held for about 10 years before his criminal exploits were blown open.
