English Championship club, Sheffield United, have signed English striker, Patrick Bamford, on a free transfer.
Sheffield signed Bamford on a short-term deal to keep him at the club till January 2027, after the player left Leeds United in August following a seven-year spell with the Premier League side.
Sheffield relayed that the 32-year-old’s acquisition will add firepower to the club as they aim to improve their 22nd position on the league table in their quest to secure Premier League promotion next season.
Bamford scored 56 goals in 192 appearances during his seven years with Leeds after joining from Middlesbrough in 2018, helping the side secure promotion twice from the Championship.
He could get a debut in Sheffield’s next game in the Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday.
