Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday blocked access to the Abuja residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, taking control of the property.
It was learnt that residents and visitors were prevented from entering the street as the anti-graft agency established a heavy security presence.
The EFCC confirmed that its operatives were acting under a valid court order, fully supported by judicial authority.
This action follows recent operations by security agencies targeting several of the former minister’s assets across the Federal Capital Territory. On Monday, operatives had already marked the property for forfeiture.
