At least, 25 soldiers have been confirmed killed during gun battle after militants force their ways into Mali army base near the country’s border with Burkina Faso.
It was reported that the attack was second-deadliest attempt on the military since jihadists tried to seize norther of the country in 2012.

The government spokesman, Yaya Sangare, disclosed that the country’s forces succeeded in retaking the base in the town of Boulkessi, during heavy gunfire from the terrorists.
Speaking on Wednesday after the attack, Sangere hinted that through air strikes 15 militants were killed and that several buildings were destroyed
