Buhari, Tinubu, Akande in closed-door meeting, discuss security, other challenges

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding a closed-door meeting with the National leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and the party’s former chairman, Bisi Akande, to discuss insecurity and other challenges confronting the country.

The meeting, as gathered, was ongoing at the Aso villa with the President explaining different strategies been adopted by the administration to address security challenges across the country.

This meeting on Tuesday came hours after the President met the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, to discuss security challenges in the north and better solutions that could be deployed to end banditry across the region.

The Guild learnt that Boko Haram has hoisted its flag in a community within Niger State, about 200 kilometer away from the country’s seat of power, in Abuja.
