Popular comedians and content creator Samuel Perry, also known as Broda Shaggi, has been hospitalized after he was allegedly shot in Ogun State.
It was learnt that the incident happened in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, during a skit production under a bridge in the area.
Although the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, it was gathered that the incident occurred while the content creator and his crew were shooting a skit, leaving him with a gunshot wound that required urgent medical attention.
Broda Shaggi was said to have been rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos State for emergency treatment before he was later referred to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja for further medical care.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the police were notified by the hospital after the injured skit maker was brought in for treatment.
According to her, officers who visited the hospital discovered that the comedian sustained a gunshot injury to his thigh. She added that the incident reportedly occurred in Sango-Ota, which falls outside the jurisdiction of the Lagos command.
Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Broda Shaggi is widely known for his comedy skits and has built a large following across social media platforms, as well as through appearances in Nollywood productions.
