Bayelsa Gov. appoints 18 permanent secretary

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has approved the appointment of 18 new Permanent Secretaries, a move aimed at strengthening the state’s civil service and enhancing efficiency across ministries, departments, and agencies.

The appointees include Awana Raymond, Egbuson Amanda, Ogregade Ileimokumo, Ketebu Thompson, Burutolu Samuel, Bomotei Anne, Dagogo Edmundson, Enuma Charles, Salbot Owil, Dr. Stow Yerinbuluemi Jones.

Other names include: Efeke Pereyi, Doyowei Edward Pulotua, Toloko Sylvester, Ede-Alakere Tarila, Torutein Ovienadu, Ogbara Faith, Vincent Jonathan, and Cole James.

In a statement issued on Monday the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission Chairman, Buruboyefe John stated that the appointments were described as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to boost the administrative machinery and improve service delivery across all sectors of governance.

The Commission further noted that details of the swearing-in ceremony for the new Permanent Secretaries would be communicated in due course.

It also congratulated the appointees, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the Bayelsa State civil service.
