Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of 14 new Permanent Secretaries, aiming to enhance efficiency, professionalism, and capacity within the state’s civil service.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Talatu Musa, Ibrahim Ahmed, Abubakar Abdullahi, Mamman Dagauda, Musa Datti, Ibrahim Rufa’i, Sani Musa, Abubakar Lamido, Yamai Muhammad, Mohammed Barau, Umar Usman, Kani Muhammad, Sama’ila Liman, and Sabi’u Gumba.
The appointments, confirmed in a state government statement, reflect efforts to strengthen administrative structures across key ministries and agencies.
“The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries were selected based on merit, experience, and competence, in line with ongoing reforms to reposition the state’s public service for high-end performance,” the statement said.
Governor Mohammed charged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them by demonstrating dedication, integrity, and commitment to duty.
He further urged them to support the administration’s vision of good governance and sustainable development, emphasising that their roles are critical in delivering results for the state’s citizens.
The appointments are part of broader strategies by the Mohammed-led government to reinforce institutional capacity and improve governance outcomes across Bauchi State.
