Bandits kill 15, injure dozens across Kaduna communities

No fewer than 15 people have been reported killed and dozens of others sustained varying degrees of injuries after bandits attacked their communities in Kaduna State.

The victims were said to have been killed during the attacks by bandits in Giwa, Birnin Gwari, and Kajuru local government areas of the state.

A breakdown of the statistics revealed that after the attack on Rafin Sarki in Giwa LGA, 11 residents were killed and they were identified as: Abdullahi Musa, Adamu Musa, Aminu Nasiru, Adamu Ibrahim, Yau Usman Ladan, Yunusa Saidu, Salisu Abdulrahman, Fati Usman, Yakubu Ya’u, Marwanu Ibrahim and one unidentified
In Cibiya and Karamai communities in Kajuru Local Government was attacked by bandits and two persons, Idon Bonos and Aston Namaskar, were killed.

Also, bandits killed two persons, Salisu Tireda, Mohammed Maikaba during an attack in Damari, Birnin Gwari local government.

The State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who confirmed the casualties figure, expressed deep sadness at the new developments.

El-Rufai, in a statement signed by Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, noted that there were ongoing engagement between the Government and the citizens is engaging the security forces on these developments and other fronts.
