Bandits abduct four family members in Kaduna

A family of four has been held in hostage following an attack by armed kidnapers on a community in Kaduna.

The kidnappers invaded a private residence in the community and forcefuly took away the family head, Abdulgafar Abdulrazak, 41, and his wife, alongside their daughters: 13-year-old Ummu and 10-year-old sister, Maryam, causing distress atmosphere in the community.

A distress call was made to be police by residents at Danhono 2 village within Millennium City, where the event happened on Friday, after which the security agency mobilised patrol teams to the scene.

The Police alongside men of the Nigerian Army Strike Force, the Special Police Unit (SPU) APV team, and local vigilante operatives cordoned bushes and other area of the community in manhunt of the terrorists and also secure the safe release of the abducted family members.

“All available resources are being deployed to ensure the victims are rescued unhurt and those responsible are brought to justice,” the police stated.
